Why Iron Sharpens Iron?
The call of ministry is humbling and exciting to those who have accepted and committed their lives to share the gospel. Nevertheless, there are pastors, leaders, evangelist, etc. that often experience lonely roads of spiritual attacks. The calling to be a pastor or ministry leader may appear to be popular to many, but it can also lead to days and nights of unwanted stress, oppression, depression as well as mental, physical and emotional effects. As a pastor and ministry leader, I have come to realize that there are three things important to have. 1. A Leader, 2. A Friend, 3. Accountability. (Proverbs 27:17.) Iron Sharpens Iron, is just that. It is where pastors and leaders can come and be transparent, establish friendships and obtain accountability. Our kingdom assignments are important and God is counting on us to make one sound and to stand united while we are serving and representing him.
